Work begins

It’s been a busy couple of weeks on the new Hut site. Presided over by Project Manager and Plotholder Charlie Flowerday the team has spent hours dismantling the concrete panels and breaking up some of the old concrete floor.

We are trying to recycle and reuse everything we can which is why it is all piled up behind the orange barrier. Charlie and his team are sorting all the rubbish and anything that is not needed in the new building will eventually be made available for members.

The Hut is looking rather sorry for itself.

Today was momentous in the building of our new Hut – the concrete base was poured! Charlie and his team looked like they were getting stuck in – literally – as two lorry-loads of concrete were pumped in.
